He was gone before my sun was shinning

He thought it would be best

To avoid all the hurting and the crying

He'll drive himself to work this day

Knowing he might not come back

He tells us "In bed you should stay"

We wake up, its our Dad we lack

He has been gone from us before

It was not so long ago

We keep watching for him at our door

When he'll come back, we dont know

Mommy says he is helping the needy

I just think I need my daddy too

I try not to be so greedy

But what else is a child to do??

Im told its only a year

12 months or 365 days

Its not exactly what I want to hear

I wish I had a Daddy that stays

I'll ask him every time we talk

"are you coming home yet?"

I know this hurt I can not block

His time away Ill regret

He is an American soldier

But he is my Daddy too

When he gets home Ill be so much older

We'll have alot of catching up to do.

New School

Good bye Vass-Lakeview and Hello Riverside!! Caden started his new school. He seemed a little nervous, but he is super smart and handsome.. he is doing just fine. He has a great teacher with lots of experience. He is right up there with the smartest kids in the class!! My big boy!

Dillin's Birthday

We had a great great suprise party for Dillin's 4th

birthday. Even though Daddy was not here, he really enjoyed himself. He had a great great look on his face when he rounded the corner and every one jumped out. AMAZING

Move to PA

We are on our way to start a new chapter in PA. It will be bitter sweet since we will be living there alone, without brandon for quite some time!!! But when he gets back, we will know he will never have to leave us for a year again!!!

The first official day

March 23rd close to 530 am, the ford focus was driven away from my house. Yes, it was his choice to drive himself. He did not wanna wake the kids up all early and try to say good bye. It was hard to watch him drive away. The kids and I are super busy packing, cleaning and doing house repairs. We are leaving for PA tomorrow!!!

PS for all of you who have noticed that I actually missed the first day... WHOOPS 8) Ill do better but no promises

Down by the lake, we got some pictures that I am just inlove with!!! These pictures will be my life savior this entire deployment. Every one was so happy and it was a great great session!!!

Predeployment Vacation

We took a few days off and headed to Mrytle beach. It was soo much fun that we did not wanna leave. It was a pretty chilly but the indoor pools were nice and warm. It was great memory making!!! I cant wait to plan the R&R get away!!!! OM Goodness. Am I already thinking about R&R?? (R&R is a two week break Brandon will get to come home to us)
